THE days of elegance with a touch of grace have returned.
Cabarita’s Forever Vintage is bringing back wedding dresses made and worn in the 1930s through to the 1980s.
Casey Simms and Cheryl Leneman opened Forever Vintage to find vintage couture garments and give them a new lease of life.
“All our garments are original couture,” Ms Simms said.
Now the pair are sourcing wedding dresses from France, the UK, Norway and Australia. Each item is hand-picked and original.

She Ms Simms said the idea that the dress was “second-hand” was usually outweighed by the quality and history of the gown.
“You can’t buy most of these fabrics any more, with some there are layers upon layers of material that doesn’t exist any more.”
The ladies have gone out of their way to source the best dresses from across the globe and currently have a bridal dress by Priscilla Comins Kidder, of the label Priscilla of Boston. Kidder designed the bridesmaids’ dresses for Grace Kelly’s 1956 wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco.
“These are the kinds of things you owned once and folded away in a trunk in tissue paper and sat in an attic and nobody touched them,” Ms Simms said.
